ABOUT YOUR THERAPIST

Nanette Navedo, LMT, LE, MMP, MLD-C

With over 20 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, I specialize in rehabilitative medical and sports manual therapy, with a focus on structural therapies. My career began at a prestigious spa, where I had the incredible opportunity to work with celebrities and high-profile clients. This experience, combined with my travels across the country and overseas, has shaped my broad understanding of the body and enhanced my therapeutic approach. Now settled in Middle Georgia, I continue my mission to help clients find lasting relief and healing.

I’m passionate about learning and troubleshooting, constantly seeking new techniques and knowledge to better serve my clients. I particularly enjoy helping everyday people ease musculoskeletal pain, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life. Whether working with athletes or individuals dealing with chronic pain, I tailor each session to meet their unique needs.

When I’m not focused on healing, I enjoy stressing myself out :D making cakes for family and friends, which is my fun way to unwind and share my creativity! #rookiemomcakes

  • Ashi-Sport: A specialized therapy combining elements of Ashiatsu massage and sports therapy. Using the therapist’s feet, deep pressure is applied to relieve muscle tension, improve flexibility, and enhance athletic performance.
  • Power Stretching: A two-person stretching technique where the client remains in control of their stretch. Rossiter Stretching involves the therapist applying targeted pressure to specific areas of the body, helping to release muscle tension, improve flexibility, and increase range of motion. This method is designed to address deep-seated muscular issues and reduce pain through active client participation.
  • Cupping (Stationary & Non-Stationary): A therapy utilizing suction cups to improve circulation, relieve pain, and reduce muscle tension. Non-stationary cupping involves moving the cups along the body for enhanced therapeutic benefits.
  • Taping: A technique where therapeutic tape is applied to support muscles and joints, reduce pain, and help prevent injuries during physical activity.
  • Fascial Release: A targeted technique designed to release tension in the fascia (connective tissue), improving mobility and relieving chronic pain.

It's particularly effective for conditions such as tendonitis, IT band syndrome, muscle strains, and other sports-related injuries, supporting recovery and improving overall function.

Boost Your Recovery with Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is a powerful, time-tested technique that promotes healing, reduces muscle tension, and accelerates recovery. Move and Function, LLC, uses cupping as part of our comprehensive sports therapy approach to help clients release deep-rooted tension, increase circulation, and reduce pain and inflammation. The gentle suction created by the cups lifts and loosens the fascia and muscle tissue, improving blood flow and promoting the body’s natural healing processes. Whether you're recovering from an injury, dealing with chronic pain, preparing for peak performance, or enhancing athletic recovery, cupping can significantly reduce muscle stiffness, improve flexibility, and speed up recovery. Clients often report feeling more relaxed, energized, and better able to move after just one session.
